Receive professional recognition, develop your skills, and make meaningful contributions to the Miami ASTD Chapter by getting involved in a chapter team.   We have jobs big and small for any Chapter member wishing to get involved.

Membership

The Membership team supports all membership related activity including maintaining our membership roster.  The chapter team reviews and accepts all membership applications, provides an orientation program for new members and introduces new members at chapter meetings. It is also responsible for securing necessary membership materials, presenting member awards, and maintaining liaison with university faculty and students.

Program

The Program team researches and recommends programs that are of interest to chapter members and are in alignment with the ASTD Competency Model.  It schedules and coordinates the delivery and follow-up of chapter meeting and workshop presentations to ensure high quality.  It delivers program needs including greeting members, providing audio/visual equipment, taking photographs, and supplying evaluation forms.

Communications

The Communications team publicizes the chapter’s activities via the bi-monthly newsletters (six editions per year), email blasts, and external media publicity. Members work closely with all chapter chapter teams to ensure that all chapter activities are effectively and continuously communicated. 

Chapter Development 

The Chapter Development chapter team designs and implements the chapter’s marketing plan to drive the chapter’s mission.  This chapter team builds on the experience of its members to establish realistic goals and objectives that will deliver increased awareness and growth in individual, corporate and student memberships.

Technology

The Technology chapter team designs, develops and manages the chapter’s website.  It provides oversight and insures membership data integrity. The chapter team anticipates and provides for the future technology needs of the membership, works closely with other chapter chapter teams regarding content and advises the Board of Directors on workplace learning and performance technologies and trends.
